TJP Says He Wants Hechicero In United Empire

TJP says he would like to see Hechicero in the United Empire. TJP has been in charge of the group since Will Ospreay signed with AEW full-time, and he recently spoke with Fightful’s Luis Pulido who asked who he would want in the stable from CMLL’s roster.

“Oh, man, I wish I could convince Hechicero to join us,” TJP said. “We had the opportunity to share a ring just recently in a card in Tijuana and and, you know, I had told him that I really admire that he’s got such a catch wrestling and yaveo style of wrestling, because that’s what I’m best at, and that’s my personal interest, and I really admire that.”

He continued, “He’s a big wrestler. He’s a bona fide heavyweight. I feel like we could always use another heavyweight for one, and I like his style. I told him, it reminds me a lot of — when I was younger, I really admired Mil Mascaras in the 1970s era, when he was very much a ground technician wrestler, going over to Japan and being in Mexico. I told him that he reminds me a lot of him, because everything he does is rooted in technical wrestling. So I wish we could convince him, but that might be a little tough. I don’t know, we’ll see.”

Hechicero is, in addition to his spot on the CMLL roster, part of AEW in the Don Callis Family.
