Note on When WWE Finalized Deal To Bring Back Kairi Sane

As previously reported, Kairi Sane returned to WWE at Crown Jewel today, helping IYO SKY retain her women’s title against Bianca Belair. It was noted yesterday that WWE wanted to bring her in as early as last year, but it didn’t work out for unknown reasons.

Fightful Select reports that the deal to bring Sane back was done months ago, around the same time WWE signed Nia Jax and Lexis King. This was shortly after the company’s unofficial hiring freeze ended.

A user on Reddit named KERRMIT (who has scooped WWE news in the past) suggested that there have been talks of more names joining Sane and SKY, which Fightful confirmed.
