WWE Reportedly Approved Kevin Owens Using the Stone Cold Stunner

– As previously reported, Kevin Owens used the Stone Cold Stunner to win his match on Smackdown this week. According to Dave Meltzer on this week’s Wrestling Observer Radio (via Sportskeeda), WWE gave approval for Owens to use the Stunner as his new finishing move. Additionally, Kevin Owens will reportedly still use the Pop-Up Powerbomb.

Per Meltzer, the Stunner was seen as a good finisher to help Owens get over as his current babyface character, since it’s such a popular move. As noted Owens even tweeted WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin after the match on utilizing his finishing maneuver.
