WWE Hall of Famer Bob Armstrong Works Retirement Match at Age 79

– “Bullet” Bob Armstrong worked what was billed as his retirement match over the weekend at the age of seventy-nine. The wife of Brian “Road Dogg” Armstrong, Bob’s son and WWE producer, noted on Twitter last night that Armstrong worked his last match with Road Dogg coming out to introduce him.

Armstrong, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2011, has worked retirement shows in the past. He went into semi-retirement in the 1990s but continued to make occasional indie appearances, and made sporaddic appearances for TNA over the years. He wrestled a retirement match in May of 2009, but then came out of retirement the next year to face longtime rival “Cowboy” Bob Orton. His last known match before this weekend’s show was a six-man match in October of last year for Georgia Premier Wrestling.
