WWE NXT Draws Slight Uptick in Viewership, Dip in Ratings for Return to Tuesday Nights
– Wrestlenomics has the Tuesday viewership numbers for this week’s edition of WWE NXT TV. The show returned to its normal night on Tuesday this week after last week’s show was preempted to Wednesday for the 2024 presidential election.
Viewership for the live CW broadcast saw a slight uptick this week. WWE NXT averaged 631,000 viewers, increasing by 2% from last week’s show, which averaged 619,000 viewers. Last week’s show competed head-to-head against AEW Dynamite, reviving the Wednesday Night Wars for one night only.
In the P18-49 key ratings demo, NXT had a slight dip from last week’s show. NXT drew an average 0.16 rating for Tuesday, decreasing from last week’s 0.17 rating in the same key demo opposite AEW Dynamite.
NXT’s main competition this weeks was Dancing With the Stars on ABC, and the NBA game featuring the New York Knicks vs. the Philadelphia 76ers on TNT. The NBA game led the ratings in the key demo for cable original programming in primetime with a 0.58 rating. The ESPN coverage of the Duke vs. Kentucky game came in second with a 0.53 rating. NXT also finished behind primetime programming on FOX News Channel, which drew between 0.21 to 0.25. Dancing With the Stars led the ratings for the night in the key demo with a 0.71 rating.
