Backstage Details on Rewrites for Monday’s WWE Raw

While WWE did a hard pivot on Raw in terms of The Vision turning on Seth Rollins, that was reportedly the only major rewrite to the show. As you no doubt know, the main event saw Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turn on Seth Rollins. CM Punk won a World Heavyweight Title shot before the turn happened.

WWE decided on the turn due to Rollins suffering a shoulder injury at Crown Jewel. Wrestling reporter Ibou reports that it was the only major change on the show.

According to Ibou, WWE did no major rewrites until the end of the show. Creative already planned the backstage segment featuring the Vision; WWE simply added the ending to the show to trigger the turn.

The report states that Bron Breakker’s turn was supposed to happen months later. Ibou says that plans had Brock Lesnar being part of the angle so he could work with Breakker.

WWE has not yet made a decision on what to do with the World Heavyweight Championship that Rollins currently holds. They also have yet to decide on WarGames at Survivor Series.
