WWE Reportedly Has No Plans for Live Fans in Attendance at Royal Rumble 2021

– Spectrum Sports 360 reporter and Living the Gimmick’s Jon Alba noted this week that multiple sources have said there are currently no plans to have live fans in attendance the 2021 Royal Rumble event. The event is currently slated for January 31 at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Alba noted the current plans for the event by WWE do no include having fans present at Tropicana Field. It was previously rumored in November that WWE wanted to hold the venue where fans can be in attendance. However, the current circumstances with the ongoing pandemic have likely put a stop to that.

The WWE ThunderDome started a new residency at Tropicana Field last month. The 2021 Royal Rumble event will be broadcast live on the WWE Network.
