Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE RAW this past Monday night. The Beast Incarnate was accompanied by his advocate and WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman.

Heyman issued an Open Challenge for WrestleMania 42 on behalf of Lesnar, daring anyone on the roster to come out and answer the challenge. As Lesnar and Heyman waited for someone to answer the challenge, the Atlanta crowd broke into chants for Oba Femi.

However, Lesnar and Heyman didn’t react to the chants, and the segment ended with no one answering the challenge. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Heyman and Lesnar not responding to the Oba Femi chants was a tactical move to avoid giving away a potential storyline shift.

Notably, earlier this month, Meltzer reported that LA Knight was internally planned as Brock Lesnar’s opponent for The Show of Shows as of late January. The Megastar, along with Cody Rhodes, eliminated The Beast Incarnate from the Men’s Royal Rumble Match last month. However, the most notable moment from the match involving Lesnar was his face-off with Oba Femi. The moment generated one of the biggest reactions from fans that night.

Lesnar would ultimately eliminate Femi from the match, leading many to believe that The Ruler would call out The Beast on the Road to WrestleMania 42.

Femi recently claimed on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast that his face-off with Brock at the Royal Rumble was just a “teaser” for more down the line.

Lesnar is set for five more appearances on RAW during the Road to WrestleMania 42. It will be interesting to see if Oba Femi answers the former WWE World Champion’s Open Challenge.
