WWE News: Some WWE Talent Believe News Of Dean Ambrose’s Exit Is A Work, Matt Hardy Watches WWE Champions, The Man Celebrates A Birthday
– In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (via Wrestling Inc), Dave Meltzer said that some of the talent in WWE believe that the news of Dean Ambrose’s upcoming departure is actually a work. It was announced yesterday that Ambrose would be leaving WWE after Wrestlemania in April. However, some wrestlers think that because WWE announced it on their website, it’s part of an angle.
Some of the talent were already aware that Ambrose was going to leave before RAW, but most found out when it was announced yesterday. Most of the creative team was also not told that he was leaving, and they didn’t know the program with Nia Jax was set up to humiliate him on his way out.
Other wrestlers were surprised that Ambrose turned down what was described as a “lucrative” five-year deal, but Ambrose is unhappy in WWE and doesn’t care about the money. Meltzer added that Ambrose is “very good friends” with Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes, who are both signed to All Elite Wrestling.
– Matt Hardy wrote on Twitter that he’s currently watching all of WWE’s champions. He wrote:
I am watching the @WWE Champion’s actions very closely.. As a matter of fact, I’ll be watching ALL of the @WWE titleholders very closely for the immediate future. #SDLive
