WWE-UFC Merger Expected To Close In September

Endeavor expects their merger of WWE and the UFC to close next month, according to their earnings report. The company published their Q2 financial results on Tuesday, which noted that the transaction to combine WWE and UFC into TKO Group Holdings is “expected to close in mid- to late September 2023.”

Endeavor announced the acquisition of WWE on April 3rd, the day after WrestleMania 39 night two. The original announcement stated an estimated closing window of the second half of 2023.

Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel will be TKO Group’s CEO with Vince McMahon as the executive chairman of the company. Endeavor will own a 51% stake in the new company with WWE’s shareholders holding the remaining 49%.
