– The January 4 New Japan Pro Wrestling PPV Wrestle Kingdom 9 likely brought in between 12,000 and 15,000 buys in North America. This is seen as a success as they only needed 10,000 to break even. It was the first time an NJPW show was brought to US PPV with English commentary. New Japan World, meanwhile, had 20,000 subscribers with 1,500 coming from outside of Japan.

– Here are the current matches set for NJPW’s “Invasion Attack” PPV on April 5:
*Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Toru Yano, playing off Yano’s upset victory via roll-up in the first round of the New Japan Cup

*Kazuchika Okada vs. Bad Luck Fale

*Ishii vs. Makabe for the NEVER Openweight title

*Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Michael Bennett & Matt Taven for the IWGP tag titles

*Tenzan vs. Kojima for the NWA Heavyweight title

*Kenny Omega vs. Mascara Dorada for the IWGP Jr. championship

*The Young Bucks vs. Time Splitters for the IWGP Jr. tag titles; possibly with an addition of Trent Baretta & Rocky Romero

*Naito, Goto or Ibushi vs. AJ Styles for the IWGP Heavyweight title; the winner of the New Japan Cup. Another will likely face Shinsuke Nakamura for the I.C. championship.
