Joe Soto spoke with MMAjunkie ahead of his fight with Iuri Alcantara at UFC Fight Night 125. Highlights are below:

In competing in the last fight of his contract and contract talks: “It’s definitely a big deal, but I guess every fight is kind of like that. Your next fight is always your biggest fight.”

On his quick loss at TUF Finale 26: “It kind of sucks that I didn’t get to perform. That’s the only thing that sucks about it: I didn’t feel like I got to perform. I worked so hard for that last fight, too. But that’s the fight game. You never know how it’s going to go. Anything can happen.”

On wanting to stay in the UFC: “This is definitely where I want to stay and where I want to be. I want to stay here. I like fighting in the UFC. I want to fight the toughest guys. The UFC has taken care of me pretty good…This is the biggest stage, and you can probably make the most money here, especially with the bonuses if you’re lucky enough to get a bonus. I don’t think I’d rather fight anywhere else unless I have to.”
