Tony Khan Comments on the Possibility of Minis Appearing in AEW

Tony Khan was available after AEW Double or Nothing to answer all the questions wrestling journalists had for him, and they certainly had an array of topics ready for him. Minis have been in the news a bunch lately. WWE Backlash saw Minihausen make his big debut, teaming with Danhausen to defeat the Miz & Kit Wilson.

Naturally, this has led to speculation of when we’ll see this popular division of wrestling appear in places like AEW, though the reporter was smart enough to mention their usage in CMLL instead of asking Tony about a WWE segment. Tony apparently hasn’t really thought about it, but he seemed open to the possibility.

On the Potential of Minis Appearing in AEW:

“It’s a great idea. It’s a great thought. I have not thought a lot about it. It’s a great thought and a good idea. It’s something for us to seriously consider. I think there’s a big audience for them. They’re very popular and certainly we could put it under consideration. It’s not something we thought about really or talked about doing, but it could be good. And before long we’ll be back in Mexico. So you’ll see them when we go to Arena Mexico again for Grand Slam Mexico because we will be back. Thank you.”

To be fair, Tony has met Kemalito, and Jon Moxley has expressed interest in putting him in the Death Riders.
