AEW Worlds End PPV Numbers Projected to Be Best Since All In

AEW is on track to close the year with momentum, as Worlds End is projected to post its strongest pay-per-view performance since AEW All In. Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that estimates suggest Worlds End will “do the same or slightly better” than the roughly 140,000 buys generated by AEW Full Gear. That would place it among AEW’s top-performing events of the year from a business standpoint.
Speaking shortly after the show, Tony Khan described the early streaming performance as “very good,” particularly across platforms such as HBO Max. Industry sources monitoring combined cable and digital numbers echoed that confidence. Internally, two people who were aware of the overall numbers claimed “it would do as good or slightly better than Full Gear.”
Some early television metrics appeared to be down, though similar dips were seen around last year’s Full Gear. Dave Meltzer believed holiday reporting delays may have played a role. However, Google search activity was down 41 percent in the United States and 28 percent worldwide. Despite that, other indicators painted a steadier picture of fan engagement.
Live attendance told a more positive story. Worlds End drew 8,968 fans, topping the 8,660 that attended AEW All Out at the same venue in 2024. Khan confirmed the event was “clean as a sellout” hours before the show. While the final setup allowed for just over 9,000 seats, Dave Meltzer noted the final figure was “close enough that you can reasonably call it a sellout.”
