Blake Monroe Reflects On Her Growth In WWE, Seeing Herself Improve
Blake Monroe says that she sees a lot of growth in her skills over the past year that she’s been part of WWE NXT. The NXT star made her debut for the company on the June 3rd, 2025 episode of NXT. Since then, she has had a reign as NXT North American Champion, a title she will attempt to regain at NXT Stand & Deliver this weekend.
Monroe spoke with KSDK in St. Louis ahead of the show and discussed her growth as a performer and more. You can see the highlights below:
On Learning In Japan:
“Wrestling is a universal language. Moving to Japan was something I did on a whim. I just wanted to wrestle. And I also tried my best to learn enough Japanese to adapt to everyday life.”
On Leaning Promos When She Came to the US:
“When I came to the United States, I was kind of starting almost from ground zero. I had done promos when I was on the independents, like made my own videos for my YouTube channel and things like that, but I had never been in a ring with a mic and just gotten to speak. So for me, it was like getting to discover this fun new part of wrestling.”
On Her Progress Since She Came to WWE:
“I watch my first in-ring promo … and now how confident I am. I’m only getting better and better… to be able to watch a match and then watch one a year later and be like, ‘Wow, I got so much better.’ That’s something I really love.”
On Her Character:
“I think she’s every woman. We all have glamour … but inside us we have this ‘woman from hell’ when you push us too far.”
On Why Someone Should Attend Stand & Deliver:
“Blake Monroe is there. And I could end the sentence there, but I’ll be generous and say the whole show is family-friendly, fast-action, high-paced and fun. … I promise you, you will have an absolute ball.”
