Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson shared a special moment after last night’s AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming went off the air.

The Mad King challenged Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship in the main event. Despite putting up a valiant fight, Eddie Kingston was eventually forced to tap out by the Samoan Submission Machine.

After the show went off the air, Kingston grabbed the microphone to address the crowd, pausing to joke with the former AEW World Champion. Danielson led appreciative cheers for Eddie as he reminded everyone that this was the latter’s fifth match, following a 500-plus-day absence due to a leg injury. Bryan said Eddie has more heart than anyone in the world of professional wrestling and urged him not to lose hope after failing to dethrone Samoa Joe.

“Eddie, I love you, man. This man, the heart that he just showed tonight—this is his 5th match back after being out for over 500 days. Eddie, do not hang your head. You were this close to being the AEW World Champion, and goddammit, you can do it. I used to be a doubter of Eddie Kingston. But this man has more heart than anybody in professional wrestling, and Eddie Kingston, I believe in you,” Bryan said in exclusive footage shared by AEW on X.

Eddie Kingston then thanked Bryan for his appreciative words before turning his attention to the crowd. He admitted that he was nervous ahead of his showdown with Joe, but hearing them “go nuts” urged him to lock in. He reflected on working independent shows in the Atlanta area in the past and thanked them for coming over last night and supporting professional wrestling.
