Raj Dhesi Wishes He Could Have Had a Better End To WWE Run, Talks Potential Return

Raj Dhesi says he wishes his WWE run as Jinder Mahal could have ended better and laid out what he would want for a potential return. Dhesi’s second run came to an end in April of 2024 when he was released from the company. His second run included a reign with the WWE Championship.
Dhesi said on TMZ Inside the Ring that he would be open to a return but would want to have a vision for what he was doing in such a situation. He also said that, while he’s happy with his time in WWE, he wishes he could have been written off in some way rather than just vanishing. You can see the highlights below:
On What He Would Want For a Potential WWE Return:
“Yeah, absolutely. There would just need to be some sort of long-term vision rather than just getting signed and then, ‘Oh, we’ll figure you in.’ Because these cuts come around, these contract cuts are happening as we’re hearing in WWE. And if you’re not being used, I don’t want to be in that position where I’m stressed out, where that day you go online and you hear, ‘Releases are today.’ And then the releases start and you have so much anxiety.
“I don’t ever want to feel that again. I want a sense of direction. And obviously there’s no sense of safety in WWE, but when you have a sense of direction, you feel you feel safer.”
On Wishing He Could Have Had a Better Ending To His WWE Run:
“At the same time, I didn’t feel like I got satisfaction out of the way my WWE career ended. Just abruptly out of nowhere, not being used for several weeks and then just a phone call. I’d love to do a loser leaves town and ride off into the sunset that way. And very few of us get to do this where you can call your shot, call the way that your WWE career ends, or end it on your terms. Really, I think that’s one thing that I wish I could experience. But if it doesn’t happen, it’s all good.
“I benefited so much from my time in WWE. Still benefit from it to this very day. And again, it’s all about leverage; using that opportunity that I had, to essentially use it as a launch pad for my next whatever that is looking like in the future.”
