WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, aka Sunny, was involved in a car accident that resulted in one fatality with police currently investigating. According to the Ormond Beach Observer, Sytch was in a three-car accident on U.S. Highway 1 in Volusia County on March 25th at 8:28 PM when she failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into a stopped vehicle, which then crashed into the car in front of it. The driver of the middle vehicle, Julian Lafrancis Lasseter, was rushed to Halifax Health Medical Center with injuries and later pronounced dead. Sytch was also hospitalized with injuries but was later released, and the third driver was hospitalized but did not have any serious injuries.

TMZ reports that Sytch was driving a 2012 Mercedes and two witness say she was “driving at a high rate of speed” when she hit Lasseter’s Kia. Police have obtained a blood sample from Sytch via a search warrant and are investigating whether she was impaired; the results are still pending at this time.

Sytch was scheduled to appear at WrestleCon over the weekend but that did not happen for obvious reasons. The Ormond Beach Police Dept. told TMZ that they are actively investigating the crash, noting:

“OBPD has requested an expedited timeframe on the processing of these samples, and the results will be made available as soon as the department receives them.”

Sytch has had a host of legal issues over the years, including several in 2015 and 2016 involving driving while intoxicated. In January she was arrested for allegedly making “terroristic threats” when she threatened to kill an “intimate partner” while wielding a pair of scissors. In February she was arrested and charged with eleven total chargers including:
