– Speaking to the MadMacDavis YouTube channel, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long discussed the shocking return of Ron Killings (formerly R-Truth) to WWE after the Superstar said he was exiting the company. Long shot down the suggestion by Triple H at the post-show WWE Money in the Bank press conference that what happened with Killings was a storyline and “all part of the show.”
Teddy Long stated (via WrestlingInc.com), “It’s a shoot. Jesus Christ, what does it take for these people [to understand]. Even Nick Khan, WWE is saying [that it was real].” He continued, “Well, like I said, congratulations to him, hope everything works out for him, [it’s] just an act of god, I’ll always say that, if this is shoot, which I believe [it is]. But, you never know.”
Ron Killings and his son later shot down the notion that what happened with Killings leaving WWE was a “work.” It’s also rumored that WWE President Nick Khan reached out to Killings to negotiate a deal for his return.
