It was previously reported that Sasha Banks is in Japan and is reportedly set to appear at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. The company has not announced an appearance from Banks (real name Mercedes Varnado). According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this is because New Japan is hoping to keep her appearance a surprise.
