During a recent interview with WrestleZone‘s Bill Pritchard, TNA Wrestling star Elijah shared an update on his recovery after suffering a torn triceps injury earlier this year. The wrestler and former WWE Superstar is hoping he will be back in the ring soon.

Elijah suffered the injury on the June 17 edition of NXT TV in a tag team bout against AJ Francis, Trick Williams, and Wes Lee. He teamed with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura for the matchup in a winning effort. He later underwent surgery following the injury and was expected to be sidelined for about six months.

Elijah told WrestleZone, “I was on NXT TV a little over three months ago, wrestling against Trick Williams. I jumped off of the top rope, I landed in a bad way, and I tore my tricep right off the bone.” He continued, “So I’ve got myself a nice little scar here now and a screw in my arm. Which it is what it is in wrestling, but yeah, the rehab is coming along well.”

Elijah also made a surprise appearance at TNA Bound for Glory 2025, smashing Nic Nemeth with a guitar to prevent him from cashing in his Call Your Shot contract against newly crowned TNA World Champion Mike Santana. Elijah commented on the appearance, “At [Bound For Glory], I was healthy enough to smash somebody with a guitar, so that was fun. I had to test [my arm out], see if it could handle it.”

With regards to getting cleared to return to the ring, Elijah is hoping to see his doctors soon for a positive update. The former WWE 24/7 Champion commented, “I’m feeling pretty good right now. But ultimately, it’s a surgeon and doctor call for me. I am supposed to see them relatively soon. I’ve told them I want to be good to go by Orlando, in, what do we got here, about three weeks? But again, it’s not ultimately my call.”

He added that he was hopeful he’d be ready to be back in action when TNA Wrestling heads to El Paso, Texas for December’s shows. The wrestler noted, “If that was the case, if they gave me the go-ahead, I’m in the mix and I’m good to go. And if not by Orlando, I’d love to do it by El Paso. And I think I’m at least healthy enough to play a song or smash somebody with a guitar if I have to.”

Elijah Joined TNA Wrestling Earlier This Year

Elijah reportedly signed with TNA Wrestling earlier this year. The wrestler later appeared on Impact and beat Joe Hendry in the main event at the February TV tapings.

As previously noted, TNA Wrestling heads to El Paso, Texas on December 5 for Final Resolution. This will be followed by two nights of Impact TV tapings in the city on December 6 and 7.
